Smoking the floor gives a rich, deep, chocolate colour with attractive variation resulting from the differing levels of tannin in each piece. Then, with the addition of white oil, we achieve the grey neutral tone that is currently so popular. The 6mm Oak top layer gives this floor a similar wear life to that of a solid whilst offering the additional dimensional stability of an engineered board. Expect this rustic floor to display the true beauty of the tree including sound and filled knots, colour variation and sapwood. Factory finished with a UV oil this floor is ready for use immediately after installation. This floor can be fitted floating, glued down or secret nailed and, as a structural floor, can span between joists if required.
