HW028 is a uniquely patterned unfinished European oak floor. This 5-finger mosaic product has a solid construction, which is the most traditional form of flooring construction that will last for generations.
With an unfinished product, once installed all you must do is re-sand the surface then you can finish the timber however you desire.
Designated as 'Prime' grade, you should find few, if any knots, and these would be of minimal size. There will also be a minimal amount of sapwood and filler if at all. Prime grade timber offers the cleanest and minimalist look.
With no visible bevel, the edges will sit flush against each other creating a visually flat finished surface. All four sides of HW028 have been evened out using a planer making it easier to work with whilst also allowing immediate use of this product. HW028 should be fully bonded to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive.
