HW31020 Walnut is an extraordinary dark brown veneered panel, suitable for almost limitless amount of applications. This panel is made up of a top layer of veneer, an 18mm MDF core and a balance layer on the back for stability. The surface is prefinished with a matt low sheen polyurethane coating that covers the pores of the wood and forms a hard resilient surface protecting it from dirt and moisture ingress. Walnut is characterised by the sawn timber being passed through rotating brushed to highlight the grain structure and give natural texture to the surface.
Walnut is categorised as mix match quarter sawn, meaning the veneers create a beautifully consistent surface layer. Without any visible bevels, the edges of the panels will sit flush against each other creating a visually flat finished surface. Walnut is planed all round and should be fully bonded to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive.
