HW2156 Fontaine is a light brown engineered European oak floor installed in a 1-strip pattern. Its engineered construction provides significant stability to the boards allowing for natural wood expansion without compromising on the real wood aesthetic.
During production, a pigmented layer is applied to the timber's surface to give a specific tone to the wood. The surface is then pre-finished with a natural oil that penetrates deep into the grain for added protection yet allows the surface to breathe.
With its 'Character' grading, you should not be surprised to find both heartwood and sapwood. Knots may be larger, and you should also expect the presence of checks.
All four sides of this plank feature a bevelled edge which accentuates the outer perimeter of each individual board. HW2156 features a click system profile and should be fully bonded to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive or floated on a high-quality underlay.
