Smoking the floor gives a rich, deep, chocolate colour with attractive variation resulting from the differing levels of tannin in each peice. The 6mm Oak top layer gives this floor a similar wear life to that of a solid whilst offering the additional dimensional stability of an engineered board. Expect this rustic floor to display the true beauty of the tree including sound and filled knots, colour variation and sapwood. Factory finished with a hardwax oil this floor requires an additional coat of Hardwax oil after installation and to maintain the floor we recommend the use of Treatex floor care and Treatex maintenance oils. This floor can be fitted floating, glued down or secret nailed and, as a structural floor, can span between joists if required.
