TX Low Socket Head Reduced Thread Captive Screws

by Fastenright

TX Low Socket Head Captive Screws host a standard 6 Lobe Torx drive and an unthreaded shank below their head, which is often referred to as a reduced thread.
The TX drive minimises the potential of cam-out and increases the overall tool life of the captive screw requiring a Torx screwdriver or tool bit for installation.
They provide a secure fastening and avoid the loss or damage of a fastener within an assembly, as the screw can not be fully removed from its housing once installed.
Often used to fasten sheet metal or captive panels, the Torx Low Socket Head Captive Screws are designed to aid compliance with the EU directive, requiring the use of captive fasteners on protective guards for machinery.
Available at Fastenright as standard in A2 Stainless Steel. Other materials are available to order e.g. Titanium and Aluminium, with optional thread locking patches also supplied.
Thread diameters available from M2 to M8, with lengths ranging from 10mm to 60mm as standard. Custom sizes are available on request.
