The Tricone Security Screw, Fastenright s patented premium security fastener has been developed to offer customers the highest possible security fixing for their products and applications.
The Tricone Security Captive Screw features a domed and polished head that has been designed to resist removal, whilst still providing a unique aesthetic appearance.
Three equally spaced blind holes are formed into the head and in their middle host a shaped cone projection which protrudes upwards from the hole s base. The three-dimensional cones in each hole make forced removal of the fastener extremely difficult.
These Tricone Security Captive screws are designed with an unthreaded portion below the head often referred to as the reduced shank. Once installed, this screw is meant to self retain, which prevents any loss of fasteners.
A dedicated locking and unlocking tool is required to fix and remove the fastener and because of the three pin system used, a high torque of the fastener is achievable.
The locking tool is fully hardened and each tool is uniquely coded, ensuring that our product is fully traceable down to the customer it is sold to ensuring the integrity of this premium, high security fastener.
The bolts are manufactured in A2 Stainless Steel and available in M6, M8 and M10 thread. Thread diameters of M4, M5 and M12 can be manufactured to order.
Tricone security tools are only available from Fastenright Ltd, and are only sold to end user customers who have purchased the screws and are not permitted for re-sale. This policy is vigorously enforced to ensure the continued high level of security for our product.
The Tricone Security Captive Screw is made from high quality A2 Stainless Steel and fully traceable in accordance with our ISO 9001:2008 certification.

Available in thread diameters from M6 to M10, with lengths ranging from 25mm to 100mm.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
