Phillips Reduced Thread Countersunk Captive Screws

by Fastenright

Phillips Countersunk Captive Screws are designed as self-retaining fasteners when paired with Captive Washers. They are commonly used for safety-critical applications and are required by EU law on certain pieces of equipment e.g. safety guards.
Often used to prevent fastening materials such as sheet metal or captive panels from being fully removed, these captive screws prevent the loss of fasteners and reduce the risk of damage being caused to the application or assembly.
Fastened with a standard insert bit or screwdriver, the Phillips drive provides a self-centring effect to ensure the screw is driven straight, while allowing for higher torque to be achieved.
The countersunk head of these Phillips Reduced Thread Countersunk Captive Screws allows the fastener to sit flush in its housing, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing finish.
Available as standard in A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel. Other materials are available to order including Titanium, Brass, and many more.
Sizes are available from M1.4 to M10, with lengths ranging from 6mm onwards. Optional thread locking patches are available on request if required.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
