Micro Pozi/Phillips Pan Thread Forming Screws for Plastic are specifically designed with a trilobular head form, enabling the screw to cut into the plastic material.
Thread forming screws can have different thread angles (30, 40, 45, 60 degrees etc), which enable the screw to cut into various types of thermoplastic material.
The trilobular thread form and widely spaced threads make these self tapping screws for plastic very easy and quick to install with minimal driving effort required. As the threads cut through the application the plastic then reforms or fills around the threads holding it firmly in place and provide resistance against possible vibrations.
