Pin Hex Security Grub Screw (DIN 916 with Pin)

by Fastenright

Pin Hex Security Grub Screws, created to DIN 916 standard (ISO 4029) with a pin, are tamper-resistant fixings which require special driver bits or keys to fix or remove which means more conventional tools are useless.
These tamper-proof set screws are suitable for higher torque applications and the Pin Hex drive makes it ideal for situations requiring medium security and where the fixing needs to be removed for maintenance.
They host a range of advantages including the fact that they are designed to reduce cam-out which often occurs in Phillips and 2-Hole Drives. This aids in providing less risk of damaging the drive tip, screw head or application and the hex drive also allows better torque compared to conventional screw heads.
These security grub screws, which provide a medium security resistance for a relatively low cost, can be referred to under a range of different names including Hex Pin Grub Screws.
Pin Hex Security Drill Bit is also available at Fastenright.
Available from Fastenright in Steel and Stainless Steel, with both Metric and Imperial sizes available.
Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including custom parts made to drawings.
