Security 2-Hole Countersunk Head Captive Screws are reusable security screws and host a unique two-hole system, where two holes are drilled into the head. They require a special insert bit for installation and removal.
Captive screws are designed with an unthreaded portion below the head often referred to as the reduced shank. Once installed, this screw is meant to self retain, which prevents any loss of fasteners.
These screws are ideal for low to medium torque applications. The reusability makes it a great security fastener for applications where regular maintenance is necessary.
The two-pin drive is designed to offer security and maintain the aesthetics of the application that it is going to be used in.
Security 2-Hole Countersunk Head Captive Screws are more prone to cam-out than other security screws such as Pin Torx or Pin Hex security screws. Users should be aware that tightening the screw may cause the drive bits to bend or break after prolonged use. Therefore purchase additional back-ups is recommended.
Tamper-resistant 2-Hole Security Captive screws offer a medium security resistance against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost, proving an economic and secure equilibrium.
They can be used with security Wave Nuts, Shear Nuts, Kinmar Reusable Nuts, Kinmar Permanent Nuts, 4-Hole Nuts or Pin Torx Barrel Nuts for increased security.
Available in A2 and A4 Stainless Steel as standard from Fastenright, with both Metric and Imperial sizes available.
Special 2-Hole Security Screws can be made to order including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts to drawings.
