Reusable tamper-resistant pan head machine screws are designed with two holes drilled into the head and require a special insert bit to insert and remove.
Due to the security drive design of the vandal-resistant tamper 2-Hole security screw, it is suitable for low to medium torque applications and is a two-way reusable fixing making it the ideal security fastener for applications where maintenance is required.
The two-pin drive is designed mainly to offer some security but mainly to maintain the aesthetics of the application it is been used with.
These two holes can be drilled at different distances (between centres), therefore it is advisable to always purchase the screws and corresponding bits from the same supplier. These screws are more prone to cam-out than some other security screws such as Pin Hex security screws. We also recommend the purchase of additional drive bits, as drive bits are prone to bending or breaking after prolonged use.
2 hole security screws are also referred to by other names including Snake Eye, Pig Nose, Two Pin and Spanner Drive Screws, and offer a medium security resistance at a relatively low cost. Often used on trains, in public lifts and other areas where aesthetics are important.
Tamper Resistant 2 Hole machine screws can be used with security Wave Nuts, Shear Nuts, Kinmar Reusable Nuts, Kinmar Permanent Nuts, 4-Hole Nuts or Pin Torx Barrel Nuts for added security.
