TX Countersunk Reduced Thread Captive Screws host a hexalobular Torx drive, often known as a 6 Lobe or Star drive. Featuring an unthreaded portion below the head, sometimes called the reduced thread, they are required in machinery under the EU safety directive ideal for high precision and safety critical applications due to the specialist manufacturing procedures that are adhered to.
Security 6 Lobe Pin Torx Countersunk Captive Screws are also available at Fastenright, offering increased protection due to the tamper-resistant Pin TX drive.
They cannot be fully removed from a hole after installation, making them ideal for use in industrial machinery where a lost or loose screw could cause catastrophic failure to the machine and production.
The countersunk head requires a countersink hole for installation, allowing the fastener to sit flush within the target housing. This provides an aesthetically pleasing finish to any application.
TX Countersunk Reduced Thread Captive Screws are made from A2 Stainless Steel as standard, with special materials are available to order including Titanium. Thread locking patches are also available as an optional addition.
Thread diameters from M1.6 to M8 and lengths up to 60mm as standard, available at Fastenright.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
d1 and L1 dimensions can be to customer specification.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Fastenright is consulted before specifying.
