Socket Cap Screw DIN 912 (A2-100)

by Fastenright

A2-100 Socket cap screws to DIN 912, often referred to as allen head bolts, have a hexagonal recess and are driven using a hex wrench or insert bit. This makes these screws much more efficient than standard slotted screws as the hex socket drive has more resistance to cam out and can be used with power drivers enabling faster use and higher torque to be achieved.
Socket cap screws, also known as socket head capscrews or allen bolts, are a screw with a cylindrical head and hex socket drive and are a most commonly a high strength fastener used in the most demanding applications.
The A2-100 grade Stainless Steel socket cap screws have a much greater tensile strength than common A2-50 and A2-70 grade Stainless Steel. This allows cost savings due to smaller diameters required to achieve equivalent yield strength.
Available in sizes from M6 to M16 from Fastenright, with lengths ranging from 12mm to 70mm.
Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including custom parts made to drawings.
