Socket Button Head Reduced Shank Captive Screws

by Fastenright

Button Head Captive Screws are useful in a number of safety-oriented applications and are required by European Union law on some equipment such as safety guards.
They are high precision safety fasteners that host an unthreaded section below their head, which is often referred to as a reduced shank.
Once installed with a captive / lock washer (available on request), they are unable to be fully removed from their installation hole.
Found across a number of types of industrial machinery, where a lost or loose screw could cause catastrophic damage to a production line. They can also be found in certain military applications where speedy removal and reinstallation of panels is required.
Available from Fastenright as standard in A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel, with specialist materials also available including Titanium, Brass and Aluminium.
Button Head Reduced Shank Captive Screws are available in sizes from M2 to M16 and lengths ranging from 8mm to 150mm. Security Pin Hex Button Head Captive Screws are also available.
