Slotted Capstan Captive Screws feature cylindrical heads with a number of symmetrical holes around the head s diameter used to insert cables, wires or levers. This allows tension to be adjusted in fine increments within the application or assembly.
They are designed with an unthreaded portion below their head, referred to as a reduced shank the captive portion of this fastener.
These Slotted Capstan Captive Screws are unique in that they can be driven via both their slotted drive or their symmetrical holes, ideal if there is restricted access to the top of the screw.
Manufactured in A1 Stainless Steel as standard, this screw is an adaptation of DIN 404 with a plain portion leaving a reduced core diameter.
Also available in more specialised materials such as Titanium, Brass and Nylon, as well as others. Optional thread locking patches can be provided on request.
As standard, these Slotted Capstan Captive Screw are available in diameters between M3 and M6 and lengths up to 30mm.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
