System Zero Security Captive screws feature a dome head and an external non-slip drive which is built into the head. This helps to avoid damage to adjacent components. These screws require a special insert bit or key wrench to insert or remove.
Captive screws are designed with an unthreaded portion below the head often referred to as the reduced shank. Once installed, this screw is meant to self retain, which prevents any loss of fasteners.
The security head design makes the screw suitable for higher torque applications. They are two-way, reusable fixings that are ideal for applications where regular maintenance is required.
The System Zero drive is designed to reduce and resist cam-out, which occurs more frequently in Phillips and 2-Hole drives. The external TX drive also allows for better torque, resulting in a screw that reduces the risk of damage to the drive head and the application it is being used on.
Security System Zero Captive Screws are manufactured in Steel and A2 Stainless Steel as standard
