Security Clutch Head One Way Round Captive Screws have a unique shaped head that only requires a standard slotted screwdriver for insertion. This makes the security screw ideal for one-way permanent applications.
Captive screws are designed with an unthreaded portion below the head often referred to as the reduced shank. Once installed, this screw is meant to self retain, which prevents any loss of fasteners.
The design of the vandal-resistant screw is suitable for medium torque applications and hosts a special chamfer at either side of the slotted drive. This enables the screws to be turned in only one direction. If it is turned the wrong way, the driver will slip out to avoid damage.
They are commonly found in public areas such as commercial toilet facilities where security is essential to prevent vandals or thieves tampering. It offers a medium and permanent security resistance, providing an economic and secure balance.
Clutch Head Security Captive screws can also be referred to as Clutch Drive, One Way Screws, One Way Round Screws and Perma Screws. They can be used with Security Wave Nuts, Shear Nuts, Kinmar Reusable Nuts, Kinmar Permanent Nuts and 4-Hole Nuts for improved security.
