Raised Slot Head Wood Screws are generally used to attach wood to wood, although they can be found at times in hinges, handles and locks to wood as they have a better grip in wood than some nails.
The screws can be driven and removed for adjustment without causing damage to the surrounding area.
The raised head is a cross between a countersunk and a round head as it combines the features of the two allowing the component to be countersunk down enough that the slight dome of the raised head is flush with the wood for a pleasing aesthetical appearance.
The slot drive is able to be worked with a flat-bladed screwdriver due to the small amount of torque.
Manufactured in a wide range of materials and finishes, see below for more details.
These Raised Slot Head Wood Screws are available from No.2 to No.10 gauge as standard, with lengths from 3/8 to 2 .
