Raised Phillips Countersunk Captive Screws are designed to be used alongside Phillips drive bits and screwdrivers.
Hosting a reduced thread, sometimes referred as a captive shank, these fasteners provide a secure joining and aid in avoiding the loss or damage of the fastener within an assembly as the screw cannot be fully removed.
Often found amongst sheet metal and captive panels which need to be retained for safety reasons, conforming to the EU Machine Safety Directive 2006.
Non-raised Phillips Countersunk Captive Screws are also available at Fastenright.
Manufactured in A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel as standard. Non-standard materials are available on request, including Titanium and Phosphor Bronze. Optional thread locking patches can also be provided.
Raised Phillips Countersunk Reduced Thread Captive Screws are available in thread diameters from M1.6 to M10, with lengths ranging from 8mm to 100mm as standard.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
d1 and L1 dimensions can be to customer specification.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Fastenright is consulted before specifying.
