Pozi Cheese Thread Rolling screws are made to DIN 7500 standard and host improved torque, as well as a reduced chance of cam-out which allows the fastener to be driven easier. Pozi drives are a widely used drive and they host the addition of four additional wings onto the cross-shaped design.
The Pozi or Cross Recess drive is designed to allow for higher torque values and improved engagement of the drive. They require Pozi drive bits to fasten or loosen the screw.
Thread Rolling screws can be driven into a pre-drilled hole without the need for thread tapping, however an extruded hole may provide extra length and allow for improved retention.
It hosts a three lobe thread design which when inserted into the fastening material, creates it s own threads, pushing any excess material into the relief areas of the screw. This increases resistance to vibration and reduces the chance of the screw becoming loose.
Pozi Cheese Thread Rolling screws are typically designed for use with metals, but can be suitable for use with other malleable materials. They also help to avoid loose chips that are caused by other thread cutting processes.
The height of the cheese head is usually around half of its diameter, allowing for a deep recess with its larger size.
Available from Fastenright in Steel Zinc Plated as standard, with thread sizes from M2.5 to M6 and lengths ranging from 6mm to 30mm.
Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order, including custom parts made to drawings.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Fastenright is consulted before specifying.
