Plastic Slotted Set Screws, otherwise known as Plastic Slotted Grub Screws, host a Flat Point that can be used against a thin wall or soft material. They apply pressure with or against an opposing object to create a secure fixing.
These Plastic Slotted Grub Screws are made to DIN 551 standard but may not follow the strict tolerances relevant to metal parts, so should only be used as guidance.
The enclosed slotted drive differs from a standard slotted drive, requiring an appropriately sized slotted screwdriver or insert bit for installation and removal. They are generally designed for applications that require a threaded fastener that has no protruding head e.g. attaching a gear or pulley to a shaft.
Plastic Flat Point Slotted Set Screws to DIN 551 are made from Nylon 66 (PA 66) as standard – offering good impact resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulating properties.
Supplied in a White (natural) colour as standard, but can be dyed a number of different colours depending on your application or requirements.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes from M3 to M12 as standard, with lengths ranging from 3mm to 80mm. Minimum order quantities apply.
Non-standard sizes, materials and colours are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
Plastic Socket Set Screws Flat Point (DIN 913) are also available.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Fastenright is consulted before specifying.
