This pan head, self drilling security screw with a five-sided pentagon recess which stops the use of anything but a specifically designed bit for installation and removal.
The pan head offers a raised finish as their heads are flat on top and rounded on the sides. Mainly used in metal work, the pan heads cannot sit flush in materials but are suitable for applications that require a higher torque.
The need for a specifically designed bit makes the screw vandal resistant and the self-drilling nature of the screw provides faster installation compared to the likes of self-tapping screws.
Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including custom parts made to drawings.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Fastenright is consulted before specifying.
