Pin Hex Security Grub Screw Dog Point (DIN 915 with Pin)

Pin Hex Security Grub Screws Dog Point, created to DIN 915 standard (ISO 4028) with a pin, are tamper-resistant fixings that require a special driver bit or key to fasten or remove, meaning more conventional driver bits or Allen keys will not work.
The Dog Point, sometimes known as the Extended Point, fits into a circular locating hole and enables the shaft of the screw to rotate freely without dislodging the part. It also ensures the screw is aligned correctly with the hole and can offer a good alternative to using Dowel pins.
These tamper-proof set screws are suitable for higher torque applications and the Pin Hex drive makes it ideal for situations requiring medium security and where the fixing needs to be removed for maintenance.
They provide a range of advantages, one of which is that they are designed to reduce cam-out, something that often occurs in Phillips and 2-Hole drives. This helps to reduce the risk of damaging the drive tip, screw head, or application, and the hex drive allows for better torque compared to conventional screw heads.
These security grub screws, which provide a medium security resistance for a relatively low cost, can be referred to by a variety of different names that include Hex Pin Grub Screws or Hex Pin Set Screws.
