Micro Socket Set Screws Cup Point are manufactured to DIN 916 standard. They have a hexagonal recess and are driven using a hex wrench or insert bit. This makes them efficient to install, as the hex socket drive helps to resists cam out. They are often used with power drivers, enabling fast installation and high torque to be achieved.
Set screws are used in applications to secure objects together, within or against another object. Micro Socket Set Screws Cup Point, sometimes called Socket Grubscrews to DIN 916 are headless and fully threaded. This means there is no head projecting past the major diameter.
The socket drive of the set screw is turned until it meets the inner object, then exerting a pressure on the inner object creates a clamping force.
