Hex Flange Thread Rolling Screws (DIN 7500)

by Fastenright

Hex Flange Thread Rolling Screws are made to DIN 7500 standard and host a hexagonal shaped head. They can be fastened using a variety of different tools that include standard spanners, ratchets and hex bolt wrenches. Due to the industrial style head, it makes them easy to grip from various angles, aiding the installation and maintenance process.
The Hex style head also allows the screws to be used in a wide range of environments and applications, most commonly within industries such as machinery or construction.
Thread Rolling screws host a three lobe thread design which when inserted into the fastening material, creates it s own threads, pushing any excess material into the relief areas of the screw. This increases resistance to vibration and reduces the chance of the screw becoming loose.
They can be driven into a pre-drilled hole without the need for thread tapping, however an extruded hole may provide extra length and allow for improved retention.
These Thread Rolling screws are typically designed for use with metals, but can be suitable for use with other malleable materials. They also help to avoid loose chips that are often caused by other thread cutting processes.
Hex Flange Thread Rolling Screws are manufactured in A2 Stainless Steel, Steel Zinc Plated and Steel Black Plated as standard. Available in both Metric and Imperial sizes from Fastenright.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
