Brass Wing Screws American Form (DIN 316 AF)

by Fastenright

Brass American Form Wing Screws, made to DIN 316 AF standard, are commonly referred to as Rectangular Wing Bolts and host a conical shaped body with two elongated ears or wings that protrude from either side.
The wings are more rectangular or edged in design compared to German Form Wing Screws, enabling quick and easy installation by hand without the need for additional tools. Recommended for use with Wing Nuts to create a fastening that is adjustable from both ends but can also be partnered with any nut featuring a matching thread.
The bright gold-like finish provides a decorative touch to any application or assembly. With anti-rust and non-conductive characteristics, these Wing Screws are great for external use and are often found within mechanical and engineering applications.
They are ideal as a fastening component in musical instruments e.g. drum kits and cymbal stands as Brass offers good acoustic properties.
As standard, Brass Wing Screws American Form to DIN 316 AF are available in thread sizes from M5 to M12 as standard, with lengths ranging from 10mm to 60mm. Optional thread locking patches can also be supplied.
Wing Bolts are available in other materials including A2 Stainless Steel, A4 Stainless Steel and Nylon. Specialist materials e.g. Titanium and Aluminium are available to order with finishes such as Chemical Black coating available on request.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
