Security 6 Lobe Pin TX Pan Thread Forming Screws are primarily used with Plastics and other soft materials, requiring a pre-drilled or moulded hole for installation.
These screws offer medium security resistance against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost. They are a reusable 2 way security fastener, so can be removed if maintenance is required.
The vandal-resistant 6 Lobe Pin Torx drive requires a special screw driver, key wrench or tool bit to install, also available from Fastenright.
They are often referred to by other names such as Star Pin Drive , Tamper Torx , Torx Pin , Resistorx and 6 Lobe Pin Torx , and can be used alongside a range of nuts for added security.
They host a 30 thread angle, allowing the screw to form a secure engagement with the fastening material.
6-Lobe Pin TX Pan Thread Forming Screws offer reduced slippage or cam-out compared to the more common Phillips or 2-Hole drives, which in turn reduces the risk of damage to the drive tip, screw head or application.
Manufactured in Zinc Steel, Black Steel and A2 Stainless Steel as standard, with others available on request.
