6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Thread Rolling screws offer a medium security resistance against vandals and thieves at a relatively low cost. They are driven using a special driver bit that fits the 6-Lobe Pin TX drive, making them more secure than standard slotted screws and hex drive screws.
Often referred to as Star Pin Drive, Tamper Torx , Torx Pin, Resistorx and 6 Lobe Pin, these screws are made to DIN 965 standard (ISO 7046). They provide a number of advantages, including improved torque, reduced slippage compared to a number of other drives, and a cost-effective installation and removal.
Thread Rolling screws help to avoid loose chips that are often caused by other thread cutting processes. They are typically designed for use with metals, but can be suitable for use with other malleable materials.
These screws host a three lobe thread design which when inserted into the fastening material, creates it s own threads, pushing any excess material into the relief areas of the screw. This increases resistance to vibration and reduces the chance of the screw becoming loose.
They can be driven into a pre-drilled hole without the need for thread tapping as a separate process.
The countersunk head allows the screw to sit flush against the fastening material, providing a clean and aesthetic finish to the application.
6 Lobe Pin TX Countersunk Thread Rolling screws are manufactured as standard in A2 Stainless Steel, Steel Zinc Plated and Steel Black Plated.
Available in thread diameters M2 to M8 and lengths ranging from 3mm to 50mm as standard from Fastenright.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Fastenright is consulted before specifying.
