The HD1043 system from Hush Acoustics is designed to help reduce sound transmission in separating floors which feature screeds such as concrete. This fully developed and tested solution provides an economical sound insulation system for any kind of refurbishment, conversion or new build project where a concrete/screed structure exists.
Performance is assured through a combination of high quality sound insulation materials, including Hush Overscreed Acoustic Membrane. This consists of a fine granulate of recycled rubber with a cork and PU elastomer bonding agent, providing a resilient layer suitable for use under most floor finishes. It also utilises the Hush MF system to create a service void whilst allowing for the installation of a high performance sound absorber layer - Hush Slab 100.
HD1043 complies with UK Building Regulations concerning acoustic insulation for separating floors - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).
It is created as follows:
Acoustic Performance *
Impact (L’nT,w) - 48 dB
Airborne (DnT,w) - 64 dB
Airborne (DnT,w + Ctr) - 53 dB
* Results based on the full Hush System HD1043 to be installed as described with all flanking noise paths treated if needed.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Hush Acoustics is consulted before specifying.
