HD1036 Hush System LC Plus for acoustic suspended ceilings and floating floors

Hush Acoustics' HD1036 is a highly effective sound insulation solution for acoustic suspended ceilings and also floating floors. It provides an 'out-of-the-box' acoustic solution for separating floors which has been fully tested to deliver enhanced soundproofing, with excellent airborne and impact sound reduction for separating floor/ceiling constructions which feature timber joists.

Universally suitable, HD1036 is an economical lowered ceiling system for use in conversion (material change of use), refurbishment and new build developments. It complies fully with all UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland).

The system utilises high quality soundproofing materials from Hush Acoustics and built using the following process:

• A 19mm plasterboard plank is laid over the existing chipboard deck and Hush Panel 28 is laid over with all T&G joints glued using the using Hush bond adhesive and perimeters sealed using Hush Seal 20.
• The plasterboard plank is spot bonded to the structural deck and sealed at the perimeters using the Hush acoustic sealant.
• Hush MF ceiling system is installed to be suspended from the underside of joists, creating a 350mm void (underside of the floorboards to the back of the plasterboard lining).
• One layer of 19mm plasterboard plank and one layer of 12.5mm Soundbloc plasterboard is then secured to MF framework with Hush Slab 100 absorber fitted into the voids.
