HD1047 Hush System Underscreed B/B: Underscreed Acoustic Membrane for Sound Insulation

The HD1047 Hush System Under Screed B/B is a fully tested sound insulation system for separating floors constructed using beam and block with a screed finish.

It combines several of Hush Acoustics' most advanced sound insulation materials to provide a dependable solution for refurbishment, conversion and new build projects. Key to this is the Hush Underscreed 8 Membrane, which is installed between the screed and the structure to provide excellent isolation and reduction in sound transmission.

HD1047 complies with all UK Building Regulations relating to acoustic insulation - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).

The beam and block underscreed acoustic system is installed as follows:

• Install the Hush MF Ceiling to the underside of the beam and block construction. Ensure a 150mm void is created from the underside of the beam and block to the back of the plasterboard lining.
• Install the Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber within the Hush MF Ceiling System.
• Finally attach a double layer of 12.5mm Soundbloc Plasterboard to the underside of the Hush MF Ceiling System.
