Hush HD1010 Batten Soundproof Ceiling and Floor System

by Hush Acoustics

The Hush HD1010 is a soundproof ceiling and floor system that offers sound control and insulation between separating concrete floors. Fully tested and compliant with all UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland) - this acoustic system represents an economical solution where the building's separating floors are formed from concrete.

The HD1010 system is constructed in the following way:

  • Hush Battens loose laid at required centres over a layer of Hush Felt 10 Resilient Layer
  • 18mm tongued and grooved flooring grade chipboard or plywood is then glued to the Hush Battens using Hush Bond and sealed to all perimeters using Hush Seal 20
  • Timber battens are fixed to the underside of the concrete at required centres.
  • One layer of 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc or Fireline plasterboard is secured to the timber battens.
  • All perimeters are sealed prior to skimming.
