The Hush Acoustics HD1012 System 2003 is a fully tested and economical sound insulation system for separating floors in refurbishment projects where the construction uses timber joists.
The system utilises Hush Acoustics' high quality sound insulation materials to provide an effective treatment for reducing airborne and impact sound transmission. It works by creating a floating floor through the installation of Hush-Panel 28 acoustic boards, in conjunction with joist strips, seals, absorbers and Hush-Bar resilient bars.
As a fully tested complete system, HD1012 offers complete assurance that it will deliver the acoustic upgrade sought in refurbishment projects and it is compliant with all the relevant UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland). It also provides a 1 hour fire resistance at ceiling level.
The Hush Acoustic HD1012 System 2003 is formed as follows:
Acoustic Performance*
Impact (LnTw) - 56 dB
Airborne (DnTw) - 54 dB
Airborne (DnTW+Ctr) - 45 dB
* Results based on 200mm timber joists at 450mm centres.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Hush Acoustics is consulted before specifying.
