HD1016 Acoustic Floating Floor System HF25 for Maximum Sound Insulation

Perfect for new build and refurbishment projects where the floor construction uses timber joists, the HD1016 Hush Floating Floor System HF25 is a fully developed and economical sound insulation system for separating floors.

HD1016 is a floating floor system that offers the maximum sound insulation by ensuring that the cavities between the floor joists are filled with high grade absorption materials, in conjunction with a resilient bar solution. Hush Felt 25 Resilient Strip and Hush Slab 100 sound absorber are key to the effectiveness of the system in reducing impact and airborne sound transmission, being two of the high quality sound insulation materials that make up this high performing acoustic solution.

As with all Hush Acoustics sound insulation systems, HD1016 is tested as a complete system to ensure it delivers on its promise. It is fully compliant with all the UK Building Regulations relating to sound insulation - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).

The HD1016 system is constructed in the following way:

1. Hush Felt 25 Resilient Strip is stapled to the joist tops, with 18mm chipboard glued above using Hush Bond, and all perimeters sealed using Hush Seal 20.

2. Hush Slab 100 is fitted between joists with Hush Bar Plus System screw fixed to the underside of joists at 450mm centres.

3. One layer of 19mm plasterboard plank and one layer of 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc plasterboard is attached to Hush Bar System. All perimeters are sealed prior to skimming.
