Rivet Nut Reduced Countersunk Half Hex Closed End

by Fastenright

Rivet Nut Reduced Countersunk Half Hex Closed End fasteners with a countersunk head style, allowing it to install near-flush in a pre-punched hex hole.
The half-hex body of the nut eliminates any possibility of the rivet nut turning through the over-torque of the mating screw fastener.
They are typically used where moisture and product contamination should be avoided.
Rivet nuts are a form of internally threaded insert and are used in applications where the material – which is often a wall – is too thin to tap a conventional thread into. Their use creates a strong thread in thin sheets of material for high strength fastening from bolts and other threaded articles.
The reduced countersunk head style allows the rivet nut to be used in applications without any extra hole preparation and provides a low profile flush fit to the application, enabling it to be installed in post-painted or pre-coated applications without surface damage.
Rivet Nut Reduced Countersunk Half Hex Closed End fasteners are manufactured in Stainless Steel as standard.
Available from Fastenright in thread diameters from M4 to M10 as standard.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
