Insert Nut for Hard Wood, Plastic and Metal (IN22)

by Fastenright

Insert Nuts for Hard Wood, Plastic and Metal (IN22) are hard-wearing inserts with fine external thread specifically designed to provide heavy-duty screw connections in harder materials such as metals, plastics and thermosetting resins.
The three cutting holes provide a sharp cutting edge and remove host material during installation, ideal for use with materials difficult to machine. Coupled with a tapered bottom, this insert is easily installed by hand, without the need for specialist tools.
Once installed, the insert provides a completely secure and firm screw connection, highly resistant to torque, vibration and pull-out, and considerably stronger than screwing directly into the material.
IN22 Insert Nut for Hard Wood, Plastic and Metal are supplied in RoHS complaint Blue Zinc Plated Steel as well as Zinc and Yellow and Stainless Steel for corrosion protection.
An array of thread sizes are available from M4 to M14 as standard, with other sizes available to order. Please see the availability chart below for full specifications.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
