Architectural Sex Bolts

by Fastenright

Architectural Sex Bolts are two-piece fixings comprised of one female internally-threaded part and one male screw. They are used to fix two objects together without requiring a thread where security may be an issue.
They are commonly used in applications to attach door hardware such as kick plates, panic bars, door closers and hinges. They provide security, strength and ease of assembly.
The female section has a smooth truss head with no drive while the barrel has a knurled portion under the head preventing from spinning while the Phillips Countersunk head screw is tightened from the other side. This feature ensures that the bolt is secure and cannot be removed.
Standard finishes include Aluminium, A2 and A4 Stainless Steel, Steel with Zinc, Chrome, or Brass. There are also finishes such as plain finish, Chrome finish and a dark Bronze finish.
Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including custom parts made to drawings.
= Steel (Self Colour, Zinc, Chrome or Brass Plated)
