KM Locking Nuts are often referred to as bearing nuts, shaft nuts of withdrawal nuts.
They are commonly used in conjunction with suitable tab washers to securely locate bearings and other components onto a shaft. They can also be utilised when mounting taper bore bearings onto shafts.
KM Locking Nuts have four equally spaced slots machined into the outer diameter of the nut, enabling the nut to be secured into position using the appropriate tab washer by bending the tab into the slots.
