Captive Reduced Thread Hexagon Bolt

Captive Reduced Thread Hexagon Bolt are often used to secure panels they can only be partially removed, designed to remain in the panel when loosened.
They host an unthreaded portion below the head, often referred to as a reduced thread, helping to prevent any loss of fasteners. Often required by EU Law in certain pieces of safety-critical equipment such as safety guards, conforming to the EU Machine Safety Directive 2006.
Captive Reduced Thread Hexagon Bolt are regularly found in industrial machinery and military applications which must be undertaken quickly, efficiently and securely.
Thread locking patches can be installed onto these Captive Hexagon Bolts, also available at Fastenright.
Manufactured as standard in A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel, with specialised materials such as Titanium available upon request.
Available in thread diameters from M2 to M12 as standard, with a huge range of lengths up to 300mm.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
