Brass Flat Knurled Thumb Nuts (DIN 467)

by Fastenright

Brass Flat Knurled Thumb Nuts, in accordance with DIN 467 standard, are often referred to Low Type or Thin Type Knurled Thumb Nuts. They offer a compact, low-profile design making them great for use in situations where space is restricted.
The large cylindrical head provides a wider outer diameter for better load distribution and increased grip further improved by the knurled outside surface to enable tightening by hand, ideal for applications where frequent maintenance is required.
This component features a metric coarse thread and tapped through hole for use with any matching threaded bolt or screw. For a symmetrical fastener that can be adjusted from either side, they should be used alongside Brass Knurled Shouldered Thumb Screws to DIN 464 or Brass Flat Knurled Thumb Screws to DIN 653.
Brass is suitable for use in medical environments due to its anti-bacterial properties whilst offering good levels of water and corrosion resistance for external applications.
Brass Flat Knurled Thumb Nuts to DIN 467 are available in thread sizes M3 to M10 as standard, with other sizes available to order. Brass Shouldered Knurled Thumb Nuts to DIN 466 are also available at Fastenright.
These can also be manufactured from A1 Stainless Steel, with specialist materials available to order such as Titanium and Phosphor Bronze.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
