All Metal Self Locking Nut Turret Type

An all metal self locking turret type nut is a one piece self locking nut.
The locking feature of this locknut is obtained by the two de-pitched self-locking slots found on the turret portion of the nut. When they are installed on the application the slotted turret section reverts to its original form and each slot grips the shank or thread of the bolt on opposite sides.
The self-locking feature holds a number of advantages; such as high resistance to vibration and that it is a reusable product. It also has a high resistance to temperature and can be used in volatile environments with both high and low temperature dependent on the material.
These locknuts are stocked in Metric, UNC, and UNF threads with BSW and BSF available to request at relatively short lead times.
Metric all metal self locking turret type nuts are available in Stainless Steel A2-70 & A4-80 and in Steel grades 5 & 8.
UNC & UNF all metal self locking flange nuts are available in Stainless Steel AISI 304 & AISI 316 and Steel grades 5, 8 & 10.
The all metal self locking turret type nuts can also be manufactured to order in Brass, Bronze, and Titanium.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
