Utile - Timber

Utile comes from West and Central Africa. Trees grow up to heights of 200 feet.
Fairly uniform reddish or purple-ish brown colour. Sapwood is light brown in colour. The grain is interlocked and rather irregular.
Similar in general appearance and properties to Sapele. Suitable for furniture, cabinet work and interior and exterior joinery.
