Koto - Timber

Creamy white in colour. Sapwood in pale in colour little different from heartwood. Grain is shallowy interlocking and of moderately coarse texture.
Weight rather variable from 530 750 Kg/m3 at 12% moisture content. Average of 650 Kg.
Used for high quality furniture and widely employed as a decorative veneer.
