Whitish to pale brown colour. Sapwood not normally distinguishable from heartwood. Usually straight grain. Texture fine and even.
Weight variable according to growth conditions. Between 670 720 Kg/m3 at 12% moisture content.
Used extensively in the furniture industry. The Timber is heavy and strong. Also used for joinery, tool handles and parts of musical instruments.
