A torch on, polymer modified vented underlayer for BUR systems.
STRATAVENT is a membrane consisting of a compound based on elasto-plastomeric modified bitumen reinforced using a perforated Glass fibre mat which has 40mm diameter holes on the surface. The membrane is intended for use as the first layer in a partially bonded built-up roofing system. Where a substrate may contain moisture STRATAVENT is used as a pressure dispersal and venting layer against moisture vapour allowing quick expulsion through roof vents.
STRATAVENT may also be used on decks subject to dimensional variation and movement. In warm roof construction employing Rigid Urethane Foam (RUF) Insulation Boards, STRATAVENT may be used to vent any gases produced.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Alwitra, Product of ICB is consulted before specifying.
