Condensation & Moisture Problems
The formation of moisture on the underside of an uninsulated metal roof is a common problem. It is primarily caused when the internal building temperature and humidity conditions attain the dew point, with resultant moisture condensing on the underside of the roof.
However the problem can also be caused at any time of the day or night by normal rain. snow and ice thaw.
Once it has sufficiently formed the moisture will inevitably fall as water droplets causing damage to the contents in your garage, shed or workshop.
A roof panel with UltraSORB applied will provide a medium for trapping moisture in the specially designed pockets formed in the membrane. UltraSORB will hold the moisture until conditions rise above the dew point and the trapped moisture is released back into the air in the form of normal humidity.
UltraSORB is self adhesive and applied to the metal panel in the roll forming process. As a result UltraSORB is supplied to your site fully applied and can be installed with the roofing panels immediately. The membrane is resistant to ageing and also provides an additional layer of protection for your metal roof.
