Elastaseal Warm Roofing System

by Tor Coatings

All Elastaseal Roof Waterproofing Systems have been developed to solve the problems associated with the long-term waterproofing of flat roofs, pitched Roofs and Gutters.

When used in combination with the appropriate insulation and vapour control layer, a warm roofing system can be easily created. These warm roofs are designed to allow compliance with the building regulations (Part L) and increase the thermal efficiency of the building, which in turn reduces carbon emissions.

We can carry out U-Value calculations on existing roof structures either by core sampling or obtaining information about the current build up of the roof from drawings. If your current roof has a U-Value of 0.33 or less then insulation will be required to bring it to a new U-Value of 0.18.

If your flat roof has significant areas of ponded water, then this will be adding weight to the structure and can be the cause of localised roof failures. We can design a cut to falls insulated roof system which will direct the water off the roof. New gutters and valleys can be created within these schemes to maximise the efficiency of the water dispersal.

Our flat warm roof systems utilise a high performance tongue and groove insulation board (Tortherm). This T&G board helps smooth out the new roof surface, minimising the piano-keying effect sometimes seen when laying butt jointed insulation boards on an uneven surface. This creates an intrinsically stronger roof system and results in less stress on the insulation board joints. Additionally, Tor can provide wind uplift calculations.
