The Glazing Vision Sliding Over Fixed Rooflight combines a sliding pane of glass that retracts over a fixed one. This combination is designed to allow as much natural daylight into your room as possible, whilst maintaining a retractable element which can be used to improve natural ventilation and connection to the outdoors.
The Sliding Over Fixed unit is particularly effective if you are limited on roof space, where the Sliding Over Roof requires additional space beyond that of the original aperture, the Sliding Over Fixed does not. This means that you can still achieve a substantial amount of glazing overhead, without having to allow for extra room to accommodate the sliding section.
Flat sliding rooflights can only be used for access if suitable balustrades are installed, Glazing Vision strongly recommends seeking guidance from building control before commencing works on site.
