Eurostrip

by Pyroplex

Eurostrip – the economical intumescent sealing solution for high volume Steel doorset manufacturers.
Primarily formulated to suit fire resisting steel Doorsets, Eurostrip has been designed to combine performance, aesthetics and quality into an easy to install fire containment system. This combination makes the Eurostrip ideal for use on insulated and non-insulated steel doorsets.
On exposure to heat, Eurostrip will expand up to 20 times its original volume to form a fire resisting seal between the door and the frame to contain the spread of fire and minimise smoke transfer.
Pyroplex® would recommend testing takes place on a case by case basis to the door manufacturer’s specification.
Pyroplex® Eurostrip has been specifically designed for use in the following applications:
1. Select the appropriate seal using the door test evidence provided by the steel door manufacturer, which will identify the size of intumescent seal required. 2. Clean the substrate to remove surface oils, failure to remove surface greases may result in a delimitation or poor adhesion to the substrate. 3. Remove the release liner from the product and push fit into the routed groove. 4. To achieve excellent adhesion seals must be applied to clean, dry surfaces at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.
Due to the variation in specification for steel doorsets, Pyroplex® would recommend that testing takes place specifically to the door manufacturer’s requirements. Pyroplex® Technical team are available to advice on individual applications.
Providing the product is installed in accordance with the requirements of the guidance document the product is guaranteed for a period of 10 years.
